Security Deposit

Charging an Appropriate Security Deposit is Extremely Important when Renting Property.  This money must be held in by your or your Realtor in a Separate Account.  It is the Tenant’s money, however, if they cause damages, break their lease or don’t, you can use this money to help cover your losses.  Typical Security Deposit amounts or 1 or 2 month’s Rent.  We suggest you stick to this.  If there are Applicants who may have a blemish or two on their application, you can request an additional amount in Security Deposit to Rent to them.  AMOSO will help you make this call on a “Case-by-Case” basis.
